RA - THE SMALL PRINT

Limited edition riso print by Kerry Simms from THE SMALL PRINT, a series of work developed during her two-month residency in the Out of the Blueprint studio in Spring 2025.

Kerry’s thinking and processes were informed by her recent reading of Claire Provost and Matt Kennard’s book “Silent Coup: How Corporations Overthrew Democracy”, which examines the shadowy investor-state dispute settlement system. Lacking in transparency, this international legal system allows multinational corporations to take entire countries to court to protect their own power and profits at the expense of labour laws, environmental policy and democratic oversight.

Through layering and abstraction of circuitboard imagery, Kerry’s artwork presents a bird’s-eye view of the unseen cultural and economic forces that shape our everyday. 

Sustainably printed using rice ink on recycled paper.
